Editorial Control:

Editorial independence is central to our mission of providing accurate, ethical, and fact-based journalism.

All editorial decisions are made exclusively by our editors and newsroom leadership. Donors, supporters, partners, advertisers, and outside organizations have no authority over story selection, reporting decisions, editorial review, or publishing decisions.

We do not participate in lobbying activities and do not accept funding earmarked for advocacy. Our newsroom operates independently of donor interests, and we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of journalistic integrity, transparency, and accountability.

Organizational Independence:

The Daily Caller News Foundation and The Daily Caller are separate organizations with distinct missions, leadership structures, finances, and operations.

The Daily Caller News Foundation is an independent nonprofit news organization and a 501(c)(3) public charity. The Daily Caller is a separate for-profit media company.

While the two organizations share historical roots, the Daily Caller News Foundation maintains complete editorial independence and operates under its own leadership, governance, and financial structure.

Financial Independence:

There is no commingling of finances between the Daily Caller News Foundation and The Daily Caller.

The Daily Caller has no access to, nor does it receive, any portion of donations, grants, or funding provided to the Daily Caller News Foundation. All funds received by the Daily Caller News Foundation are managed independently and used exclusively to support its nonprofit mission.

Editorial and Content Independence:

The Daily Caller News Foundation produces original reporting, investigative journalism, policy coverage, commentary, video content, and journalist training programs.

Our reporting is distributed through a broad network of publishing partners across the country. As with other publishers that utilize our content, The Daily Caller may choose to republish Daily Caller News Foundation reporting through standard licensing arrangements. Republishing partners do not influence our reporting, editorial standards, or newsroom operations.

Donor Stewardship and Transparency:

We are supported by the generosity of thousands of donors and take stewardship of every contribution seriously.

Our tax filings are publicly available, and we voluntarily participate in independent financial reviews and audits. We are committed to honoring donor intent while preserving complete editorial independence.

The Daily Caller News Foundation has earned the Platinum Seal of Transparency from Candid, reflecting our commitment to accountability, transparency, and responsible nonprofit management.
