Some of German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s closest allies have released a draft resolution to deport anyone who poses a threat to the state.

The Christian Social Union, which is part of Merkel’s grand coalition, proposes a number of measures to increase security following the recent truck attack in Berlin. One of the main points is to expand expulsion powers for authorities and extend it to any foreigner perceived as a “public danger.” (RELATED: Berliners Come To Terms With Terrorism Being The New Normal)

“Whoever threatens our state has forfeited their right of hospitality,” the resolution titled “Security for our freedom” states, Suddeutsche Zeitung reported Monday.

The resolution further calls for more video surveillance and better databases to track potential terrorists. (RELATED: Populists Gain, Merkel Takes Hit After Berlin Attack)

Merkel has responded to calls for more security by promising to review a number of practices to see if and where the system fails.

“The case of Amri raises a series of questions, not just about the deed itself but also about the time since he came to Germany in July 2015,” Merkel said Friday, following the death of Berlin attacker Anis Amri. “We will now examine with urgency to what degree state practices must be changed.”
