“Sen. Feingold promises to protect those rights, but that’s not what his record shows,” Johnson says in the 30-second spot where he’s depicted loading a shot gun in a khaki shirt. “During his 18-year Senate career, he supported judges who voted to deny your individual Second Amendment right, and he’d do it again if elected to a fourth term. One more liberal justice will flip the court.”

Feingold supported the conformation of both Justice Sonia Sotomayor in 2009 and Justice Elena Kagan in 2010.

Kagan was heavily involved in former President Bill Clinton’s efforts to restrict Second Amendment rights in the 1990s, while Sotomayer opposed individual gun rights in 2010.

Johnson assured he would vote against the conformation of any judicial nominees that don’t support gun rights.
