The Daily Caller News Foundation often covered “The Charlie Kirk Show” during the final months of Kirk’s life, highlighting his commentary on politics and current events.
Since Kirk’s assassination on Sept. 10, friends including Vice President J.D. Vance and radio host Glenn Beck have guest-hosted “The Charlie Kirk Show” to honor him. Kirk’s takes that DCNF covered included criticism of the United Kingdom, ridiculing former Democratic National Committee (DNC) Vice Chair David Hogg and expressing optimism that President Donald Trump could reconcile with Elon Musk.

After a trip to England that included debates at Oxford and Cambridge, Kirk criticized the U.K. while praising the United States on May 22.
“It’s tragic. I don’t say that with glib, I don’t say that with delight. It is sad. Britain is why we exist. It’s like going back to the life force and it’s chilling and it’s depressing … They invented free speech, sent it back to our country,” Kirk said. “There’s so much wrong with that country and it is not worthy of making fun of,” he added. “I mean, you can have some laughs and some comedy, but it is depressing. It is dark. And I came back literally kissing the ground when I came back from London yesterday.”
“Because there’s a lot of problems with America. But let me give you two things that I think we should be thankful for that we don’t notice. Of course, freedom of speech number one. And then number two: the spirit of America,” he added. “When we have a problem, we believe we can solve it … There is this grit. There is this pioneer spirit. And in Britain, they are defeated at the soul. They’re like, ‘Cheers, mate. Country’s done. Let’s go drink.’ What we have is unique. And it’s a blessing from the Lord.”

On May 27, Kirk roasted Hogg for praising Democratic Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett during a May 23 interview on “The Breakfast Club.” Hogg had gushed that Crockett was an ideal “leader” for the party while on the popular hip-hop show.
“Where do I donate? I will actively raise money for Jasmine Crockett running for the presidency … I will be an official bundler for the Jasmine Crockett 2028 campaign. I will call donors,” Kirk said. “We’ll start a super PAC. If she runs a presidency, I think Turning Point PAC … could run ads in support of Jasmine Crockett. I think we will do independent expenditures saying that she is the fighter of the future.”
Kirk then showed a photo of Hogg and ridiculed his physique and character.
“[W]hen I think of masculinity, this is what I think about. I mean, look at this titan. Look at that menace, that mountain of muscle. I mean, come on. Those biceps, boom. That fierce look in his eyes,” Kirk said. “Outside of the physical characteristics that make David Hogg indistinguishable than a survivor from a concentration camp, the more important component is that he never stands up for core values.”
“He’s always pandering … he’s like, ‘Oh, yeah, Jasmine Crockett, she’s the greatest. She’s wonderful.’ Act like an entire moral coward,” he added. “To appeal to real alpha men, you have to be an alpha man … He goes on ‘The Breakfast Club’ and essentially endorses a black crazy woman because he’s a compliant little beta. It’s exactly how you drive men away.”

Kirk also speculated on Trump’s ability to reconcile with Musk after seeing the president appear friendly with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis during a July 1 visit to “Alligator Alcatraz.”
“Sometimes things get very heated and then there’s a reconciliation — there’s a rapprochement,” Kirk said. “And we all agree that we want Elon Musk and we want Donald Trump to work collaboratively.”
“The best example in front of us is, as we’re doing this program, President Trump is hanging out with Ron DeSantis. Ron DeSantis, who — they were the worst of enemies imaginable … They were just attacking each other relentlessly,” he added. They were in the midst of a primary. Donald Trump did not have very good things to say about Ron DeSantis at all. And now they’re taking questions on the tarmac and — in his own words, he says that his relationship with Ron DeSantis is a ‘ten.’”
When Vance hosted the show on Monday, he detailed the first time that he met Kirk’s widow, Erika. He said he became motivated during the meeting to be “the very best” husband and father he could possibly be and to ensure that Kirk’s movement lived on for generations.
An emotional Beck honored Kirk on Wednesday by displaying the late Rush Limbaugh’s golden microphone in front of Kirk’s empty seat while he guest-hosted the show.
