Belgian authorities’ raid Friday evening to capture suspected Paris attack mastermind Salah Abdesalam appears to be caught on video.
The video begins with several gunshots ringing out and shows several police in full body armor armed with assault rifles entering a building in the Brussels neighborhood of Molenbeek. Seconds later, police are seen dragging a man who is believed to be Abdesalam out of the building. The cuffed Abdesalam is then put in a small police vehicle.

Abdesalam’s capture was confirmed by Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel and French President Francois Hollande Friday afternoon.
“This evening is a huge success in the battle against terrorism,” said Michel during the joint news conference. He also noted the operation to apprehend Abdesalam was a joint operation with French authorities. [RELATED: Mastermind Behind Paris Attacks Arrested In Brussels]
Abdesalam had been on the run for several months after he and his accomplices killed 130 in Paris Nov. 13, 2015. He had barely escaped capture Wednesday when police engaged in a shootout with another suspect who was subsequently killed.
