Asya Khamsin, a Tanzanian fashion designer who resides in Houston, accused Sam Brinton, a former nuclear waste disposal official in the Biden administration’s Department of Energy, of stealing her luggage in 2018 and wearing her custom-made clothing.
Brinton, who has already been charged for allegedly stealing luggage from airports in two separate incidents, has been photographed publicly wearing several outfits which also appear on Khamsin’s social media posts around 2018. Khamsin lost a bag in 2018 at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and reported it to Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police Department an Delta Airlines, but filed a new report with Houston police after seeing photos of Brinton in her clothing following reports of his alleged thefts, according to documents obtained by Fox News.

“I lost my bag 2018 in DCA recently I heard the news on @FoxNews about @sambrinton luggage issue,” she wrote on Twitter Monday. “Surprisingly I found his images wore my custom made outfits which was in the lost bag on 2018.”

Khamsin shared a photo of Brinton wearing a red dress along with a screenshot of herself wearing an identical dress in 2018 Instagram post. Brinton has been pictured wearing several other outfits which appeared in Khamsin’s social media posts in 2018, some of which Khamsin says were custom-made.
Brinton was filmed allegedly stealing a woman’s roller bag at the Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport’s baggage claim area by security cameras, according to a criminal complaint. He initially said he had taken the bag by mistake and hadn’t removed anything from it, but the contents of the bag were never recovered.
Brinton was also subject to felony charges of grand larceny after allegedly stealing baggage from another individual at Harry Reid International Airport in 2021.
The former nuclear official has also drawn attention for teaching courses on spanking and BDSM fetish activities, and for his account of being tortured in an anti-LGBT conversion therapy program earlier in his life; his claims have come under public scrutiny, however, and his family says the story is fabricated.
Khamsin told the Daily Caller News Foundation the case was currently under investigation and did not offer further comments.
Brinton did not respond to the DCNF’s request for comment.
