A Facebook moderator who works at one of the company’s third-party contractors explained why he uses his authority as a censor to target President Donald Trump’s supporters in an undercover video from a Project Veritas operative released Thursday.

The video shows a Facebook content moderator working for Cognizant, noting that he focuses on Trump’s supporters because they scare him. The video footage also shows content moderators etching out exceptions to Facebook’s hate speech policies to favor the LGBTQ community during Pride Month.

“Trump supporters are f*cking crazy *ss *ssholes, that every other f*cking word out of their mouth is, you know, ‘Come take it,’ ‘Seal the border,’” a moderator named Israel Amparan said at one point in the operative’s undercover video, which is the second of two videos Project Veritas rolled out since Tuesday.

Amparan also noted that he targets Trump supporters because they scare him.

“I hate government as much as the next f*cking person, but you’re not gonna catch me riding over the f*cking. It’s like impeachment. It’s like a PRAW. Trump called it a f*cking coup — and it’s like, that should scare you more than anything,” Amparan said in the undercover video.

A PRAW is a Reddit program allowing users to quickly and easily post on Facebook.

“The reviewers’ decisions are regularly evaluated to ensure our policies are applied fairly and accurately. We do not promote political viewpoints of any stripe and the comments included in this video are not consistent with our policies,” Facebook spokesman Andy Stone said in a statement to the Daily Caller News Foundation.

He added: “We will be reviewing our training and oversight to make sure these decisions are made consistent with our policies.”

Cognizant has not replied to the DCNF’s request for comment.

Steve Grimmett, a team lead at Accenture’s content review, said in the the undercover video that Trump supporters are in the same speech category as Hitler, under the Facebook policy on Dangerous Individuals and Organizations.

“One of my projects before now was, was hate,” Grimmett said. “I’ve spent quite a bit of time looking at pictures of hate organizations, Hitler, Nazis, MAGA, you know, Proud Boys, all that stuff all day long.”

MAGA is an acronym for Trump’s 2016 campaign meaning Make America Great Again.

Project Veritas also released an interview with former Cognizant content moderator Ryan Hartwig, as well as undercover footage he secretly recorded during his training sessions at Arizona-based Cognizant.

Cognizant is reportedly exiting the content moderating business after reports from 2019 showed moderators experienced PTSD during the course of their jobs.

“I was seeing them interfering on a global level in elections. I saw a blatant exception that just targeted conservatives or favored liberals — and you know, we’re deleting on average 300 posts or actioning 300 posts a day,” Hartwig told Project Veritas.

The Project Veritas video Thursday came two days after the group rolled out a different undercover video recorded by former Cognizant content moderator Zach McElroy. McElroy’s video included a shot of an internal order to the Cognizant team telling them to avoid censoring CNN host Don Lemon saying white men are a “terror threat in this country.”
