The woman accusing Judge Brett Kavanaugh of high school-era sexual assault said she did not know who paid for her polygraph test, during her testimony in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee Thursday.

The comments come as lawyers for Christine Blasey Ford released Wednesday the results of a polygraph examination Ford claims she took on Aug. 7. The polygraph was administered by former FBI agent Jeremiah Hanafin in a Hilton hotel in Maryland on the same day as her grandmother’s funeral, according to Ford. When asked if she remembers who paid for the test, Ford said, “Not yet, no.”

After a break, Ford’s lawyers clarified that they paid for the polygraph test. “Let me put an end to this mystery,” lawyer Debra Katz said. “Her lawyers have paid for her polygraph, as is routine.”

Ford added that she was “scared” of the test and that her lawyers advised her to do it. The polygraph results showed no deception on Ford’s part.

Kavanaugh will testify in front of the committee after Ford Thursday afternoon.
