New York University (NYU) representatives have yet to release any statement regarding one of their adjunct professors who doxxed U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) employees.
The Daily Caller News Foundation repeatedly emailed and called representatives at NYU for a comment or statement regarding the adjunct professor Sam Lavigne at Tisch School of the Arts, after he doxxed 1,595 ICE employees.
TheDCNF reached out primarily to John Beckman, senior vice president for public affairs and strategic communications at NYU, as well as James Devitt and Cheryl Feliciano, who are the director of public affairs and senior public affairs officer at Tisch, respectively.
After three weeks of attempts at contact, the university has not responded to TheDCNF’s repeated emails or phone calls.
After TheDCNF broke the story of Antifa, a violent domestic terror organization, spreading the list of 1,595 ICE employees’ personal information all over the internet, TheDCNF discovered it was Lavigne who created the list.
Lavigne compiled the list of ICE employees’ personal information using LinkedIn, which included full names, locations, their role at ICE and more. He placed the list on GitHub and referenced it in a Medium blog post.
Both GitHub and Medium removed Lavigne’s posts, saying it goes against their guidelines that prohibit doxxing — which is spreading individuals’ personal information such as where they work, their names, addresses or contact information.
Lavigne, who spread the list of ICE employees on the Github post and the Medium blog post on Twitter, was not suspended for his actions, even though people who spread the phone number of White House senior adviser Stephen Miller were, temporarily.
