Rudy Giuliani said Special Counsel Robert Mueller has agreed to limit the scope of a possible interview with President Donald Trump on CNN Friday morning.

Giuliani, one of Trump’s personal lawyers, said Mueller has agreed to to narrow the scope of a potential interview with Trump from five topics to two on CNN’s Chris Cuomo on “New Day.” The former New York City Mayor said that Mueller is not considering asking Trump about his former personal attorney Michael Cohen.

“Is this news that you believe that according to special counsel and their investigative team, there may be a narrowing of questions is that accurate?,” Cuomo asked Giuliani.

“Yes, it is. It is accurate as of Wednesday night. Wednesday night we received a communication from them. Now, we did go through like five letters and we didn’t get a response. Then they sent us a response,” Giuliani responded. “I can’t go into detail, but narrowing the subjects for questioning down to about two.”

The news comes as Giuliani claimed Wednesday that Mueller’s team told Trump’s legal team that he cannot be indicted.
