The other civilian may have been a security guard, but his condition was unknown.
Police identified the suspect as 29-year-old Armando Juarez, who may be armed with two handguns. Juarez allegedly pulled a gun when confronted at the store, reportedly shooting the male officer in the back of the head and the female officer in the face, according to CBS.
Juarez may have gotten into a white Ford pickup truck to flee the scene. Police called in SWAT teams and tracking dogs to search a nearby stream bed.
