The Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) is set to launch a new conservative talk show in April called “In Principle,” according to The Associated Press.

Washington Post Op-ed columnist Mike Gerson and political commentator Amy Holmes will host the program on Friday evenings and the format will draw inspiration from William F. Buckley’s “Firing Line” The AP reports. The show will get a two month run before a decision is made on whether or not it will continue.

“I find when I go around the country that there is actually a hunger for serious, civil dialogue as an alternative to the bitterness of our civic discourse,” Gerson told The AP.

“I think the Trump era has been a very difficult time for traditional conservative discourse,” he continued. “I think a lot of institutions and places have been co-opted in this era. I view conservatism not only as a belief but a state of mind, a respect for tradition but also a respect for facts.”

The first episode will air on PBS on April 13th.
