The alleged 19-year-old Florida shooter stopped by two fast food restaurants after he opened fire and killed 17 people Wednesday.
Nikolas Cruz, charged with 17 counts of premeditated murder, visited a Subway, a Wal-Mart and a McDonald’s in the time between when he opened fire at a Parkland High School and when officers finally arrested him, authorities said at a Thursday press conference.
According to Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel, Cruz “sat down for a short period of time” at McDonald’s and purchased a drink at a Subway.
“He was taken into custody without incident,” Israel said.
Cruz reportedly took an Uber to the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and used an AR-15 to shoot down 17 people and injure 14 others. Cruz is currently being held on bond without bail.
