GOP Candidate Rants About ‘She Devil’ Feminists In Facebook Post

A Republican Missouri Senate candidate ranted about “she devil” feminists in a recent Facebook posts as he attempted to postulate on where women belong in society.

GOP candidate Courtland Sykes posted his comments on feminism and the place of women from a September 2017 interview after facing recent inquiries on his view women’s rights, reports The Washington Post.

Sykes said he stands for women’s rights at the behest of his fiancée, but the price of that comes with the expectation that his fiancée will have dinner ready for him at 6 p.m. each night.

He also expects his future daughters to learn how to become “homemakers and family wives” instead of “career obsessed banshees who forego home life and children and the happiness of family to become nail-biting manophobic hell-bent feminist she-devils,” he added.

“I don’t buy into radical feminism’s crazed definition of modern womanhood and I never did. They don’t own that definition — and never did. They made it up to suit their own nasty, snake-filled heads,” he wrote.

Sykes is currently running against Democratic Sen. Claire McCaskill. He later told WaPo he doesn’t feel that his comments were offensive to women and that his fiancée doesn’t really make him dinner every night.
