Mom And Two Children Behind Bars For Stomping Pregnant Teen Until She Miscarried

A mother and her two children were slapped with prison sentences for beating a pregnant teenager so hard she lost her baby this week.
The Dallas family all pleaded guilty to felony family violence aggravated assault, with the mother, Sharon Jones, 47, receiving a 12 -year sentence and her two adult children, Cecilia McDonald, 28, and Cedric Jones, 29, got five and seven years respectively for the 2013 attack, reports The Associated Press.
The victim was reportedly raped by her brother Robert Cayald as a 13-year-old in 2012. Her brother impregnated her in the attack, leading her family members to try to force her to get rid of the pregnancy. In one attempt, they tried to get rid of the baby at eight months by using birth control and cinnamon tablets.
The family resorted to a more brutal form when the birth control didn’t have the desired effect. They held the teen down and punched her in the stomach until she had a miscarriage.
“They held her down. They forced her to lay there while people stomped her,” prosecutor Rachel Burris argued. “I️t was savage.”
Defense attorneys argued their clients were just trying to defend their family.
