At approximately 10:25 a.m. authorities received an anonymous call about a car giving off the smell of burnt marijuana as it overheated, according to Sgt. Joes Duarte of the Douglas Police Department, the Douglas Dispatch reported.
After the police made sure the female driver was safe, the truck caught fire. The local fire department was called in and discovered several parcels of cannabis near the engine compartment, some of which had gone up in flames, according to The Dispatch.
The vehicle was later seized by police and processed, and the investigation remains ongoing.
