MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough described the Democratic party as “wandering around in the wilderness” Monday and said Republicans still have the political advantage.

“It’s the Democratic party right now, that seems to be wandering around in the wilderness. They’re out of power, Republicans are out raising them, and a lot of the Senate races don’t seem to be going their way,” he said on “Morning Joe.”

Scarborough explained President Donald Trump remains more popular in House districts Democrats are trying to flip than Democratic leaders Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer.

“Almost all of the seats Democrats need to take from Republicans, Donald Trump is more popular than Nancy Pelosi and probably Chuck Schumer,” he said.

Scarborough broke down each party’s fundraising numbers showing the Republican National Committee out-raised the DNC by almost $7 million in the moth of July.

“A lot of us are doing what we did in 2016. We spent all of 2016, not talking about you but just around this table, talking about how bad things were going for the Republican Party. How they were embracing race baiting, how their policies were not positive or optimistic, and they ended up taking over everything,” Scarborough said.
