Former President Barack Obama’s Saturday night tweet on the riots in Charlottesville, Va., broke the record for most likes on a post ever.
The tweet, part of a series of three, quoted former President of South Africa Nelson Mandela, and featured a picture of himself talking to several little kids, all of whom appear to be diverse.

Prior to the trifecta of tweets Saturday, Obama hadn’t tweeted since calling Republican Sen. John McCain of Arizona “an American hero” in response to reports that the veteran and veteran lawmaker was diagnosed with brain cancer. That tweet garnered more than 2 million likes as well.
