The Dow Jones Industrial Average tanked immediately after President Donald Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., released his emails with a Russian attorney who promised to provide damaging information about former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
Trump Jr. tweeted screenshots of his emails with Rob Goldstone, a former British tabloid reporter who arranged the meeting with Russian attorney Natalia Veselnitskaya at 11 a.m. Monday morning and the markets reacted almost simultaneously, dropping over 100 points in a matter of minutes.

The benchmark index opened for trading Monday at over 21,410 points. The Dow sits at 21,321.65 as of 11:42 a.m. Monday.
The S&P 500 and the NASDAQ also took a marginal dip after the emails surfaced, but both appear to making a recovery on those losses.
