A taxi cab plowed into a group people near the taxi pool area at Boston Logan International Airport on Monday, according to Massachusetts State Police.
The crash took place in the outdoor break area of a building at Porter Street and Tomahawk Drive, in the East Boston neighborhood.

It was not immediately clear how many people were stuck by the vehicle, but authorities confirmed that 10 people have been taken to local hospitals for injuries of “varying severity.”

Investigators believe the crash was accidental and are not treating it as a terrorist attack at this time, according to a statement from the State Police:
“The cause of the crash remains under investigation. At this preliminary point in the investigation, there is no information that suggests the crash was intentional.”
Police say they are interviewing the driver, a 56-year-old man from nearby Cambridge.

Video footage from local ABC affiliate WCVB Boston showed what appeared to be a damaged taxi resting next to a building. The people who were hit were sitting in an outdoor break area adjacent to the parking lot where dozens of taxis are parked, WCVB reported.
