Facebook reached a new milestone of 2 billion active users per month Tuesday morning, according to co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

Such a staggering statistic signifies that approximately more than a quarter of the world’s population uses the social media platform every month.

“This wouldn’t have happened without the millions of smaller communities and individuals who are sharing and making meaningful contributions every day,” Mike Nowak, product director, and Guillermo Spiller, product manager, wrote on an official blog post. “Each day, more than 175 million people share a Love reaction, and on average, over 800 million people like something on Facebook. More than 1 billion people use Groups every month.”

Zuckerberg updated his cover photo with the caption “the world is a little brighter now” due to to the benchmark, which comes roughly 13 years after Zuckerberg launched the service. The company surpassed one billion monthly users in October 2012, meaning it has doubled its users in less than five years.

Zuckerberg hopes that having 2 billion people on the social network will bring the world closer together and create intercultural harmony. Nowak and Spiller announced that Facebook will be rolling out a few new features, like personalized videos “to celebrate bringing the world together” and sharing fun facts about community contributions on the platform.

He spent time at a Wisconsin family farm, as well as a fire department in Indiana. Zuckerberg also had dinner with an Ohio family, which had members who voted for former President Barack Obama in 2008 and 2012, but campaigned heavily for President Donald Trump. He reportedly wanted to visit the area because of the attention the Rust Belt received during the political campaign.
