Piers Morgan Slams Mark Levin Over Response To Iran War, Israel

Piers Morgan criticized Fox News weekend host Mark Levin Thursday for attacking people who criticize the Iran war.

Morgan and Sirius XM’s Megyn Kelly criticized Levin for conflating anti-Zionism with antisemitism and claiming that Israel critics are responsible for the war, which prompted Levin to call Morgan a “vile asshole” on X. Morgan, on “Piers Morgan Uncensored,” accused Levin of being irrelevant and a hypocrite who accuses critics of the Iran war of being “Neo-fascists.”

“Mark Levin is a little known American broadcaster with a Sunday night graveyard slop on cable news. Very few people watch Mark Levin. Before the Iran war began, very few people knew Mark Levin at all,” Morgan said. “He first came to my attention because of his extraordinary social media outburst about many people I happen to be interviewing. He called Megyn Kelly ‘an unhinged degenerate bigot.’ He called Dave Smith ‘a grifting imbecile.’ The popular congressman, Ro Khanna, [he called] a ‘Jew hating demagogue.’ This week, he added me, finally, to the list. ‘Piers Morgan is a vile asshole,’ he posted.”

Levin has labeled podcasters who criticize the Iran war “woke Reich Neo-fascists,” and has called for them to be censored.

“The problem is [Levin] is also a colossal hypocrite and wrong about pretty much everything. First of all, he is one of the most outspoken critics of the unhinged liberals who compare Trump and Republicans to Adolf Hitler and the Nazis,” Morgan said. “In his own words, ‘false comparisons to Hitler imperil the Constitution and create real life dangers. This kind of rhetoric is disgusting and dehumanizing,’ he says. On that, we completely agree. But how does Mark Levin categorize anyone who criticizes the Iran war? … If those words sound familiar, it’s because they’re the same ones he used to justify censoring mostly conservatives on the COVID lab leak theory, on January 6 and Hunter Biden’s laptop.”

“In a nutshell, therefore, Mark Levin is a big advocate for free speech so long as you agree with him,” Morgan continued.

In response to Levin calling him a “vile asshole,” Morgan said Levin is a “world expert in vile assholes.”

In a lengthy statement, Levin claimed Morgan is a “washed up, failed journalist” and a “truly pathetic and hopeless clown.”

“I understand Morgan’s frustrated,” Levin posted on X. “Life is passing him by. Time is running out. He has nothing to show for his decades of insults, blather, and self-aggrandizement. He’s emotionally unraveling, lashing out in every direction, like a petulant child, panicking and scratching feverishly for more attention. Whatever it takes. But Morgan and his ilk have paid a price, as most grifters eventually do. Nobody serious takes them seriously, including and especially the President. And Morgan’s career is at a dead-end.”

“Look at this guy, a truly pathetic and hopeless clown. No circumspection or course change,” Levin continued. “And he will only get worse. It’s bad enough, of course, that jerks like him are giving aid and comfort to the enemy with their ceaseless attacks on the Commander-in-Chief and the mission of our great military.”

Levin has continued to support American involvement in the Iran war and earned the support of President Donald Trump, who decided to enter the conflict on Feb. 28. The State Department openly admitted in an April 21 government release that the U.S. entered the conflict on behalf of Israel. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli officials attempted to convince Trump that war was necessary during a Feb. 11 meeting at the White House, The New York Times reported.

Levin didn’t respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.
