Former FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino on Monday asserted on his first episode of “The Dan Bongino Show” since leaving the FBI that his show and Rumble were “under attack” following a stream crashing.

Bongino’s initial live stream on Rumble, which exclusively streams the show, quickly experienced glitches before completely crashing. In his second stream, he apologized and said there were numerous individuals motivated to silence him.

“Alright, folks. Sorry about that, but a lot of people interested in keeping me off the air as you can probably imagine. So if you can hear us, just let us know,” Bongino said. “But Rumble under attack and the show of course is under attack. This is what these scumbags do. They can’t have a voice like me speaking out. I anticipated some of this so I appreciate you all hanging with us.”

“It’s a live show obviously and we had a good kind of impression this was going to happen,” he added. “They just don’t want me to talk. They’re so terrified of this show coming back that they were going to do anything to try to stop us.”

Bongino announced his departure from the FBI in a Dec. 17 X post before officially leaving the bureau on Jan. 4.

His show will “focus on Washington insights, behind-the-scenes details from his time in government, and a message of hope and resilience in the conservative movement,” according to a Jan. 12 announcement.

Moreover, Bongino recounted on “The Vince Show” on Jan. 12 reading documents that prompted him to write a viral July 2025 X post in which he said he was “shocked” to his “core” and would “never be the same.”

“I was just reading some stuff about Crossfire,” Bongino said. “And … I was blown away … I lived in this kind of tiny apartment in D.C., … And I’m sitting there and I’m thinking to myself, ‘I couldn’t believe it happened here.’”

“I just thought, gosh, these guardrails just broke down because of people. People are guardrails, not robots … And I was just stunned at how many people just let this — just the incredibly poor decision-making,” he added. “It blew my mind … I got up the next day and I just fired that out … I was really shaken by the whole thing, how these guardrails broke down so quickly. It was astonishing. And I was — oh boy. Even now talking about it, I just remember that feeling. Like, oh my gosh, did this really happen? Yeah, that’s what that was about.”

Crossfire Hurricane was the FBI’s counterintelligence probe into President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign dealing with allegations of Russian collusion.

Bongino also asserted he would likely discuss the documents’ revelations in more depth on his show “within reason.”
