A Catholic school system employee who fantasized about President Donald Trump being murdered has been terminated.

The Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board in Ontario, Canada, confirmed to SOOToday.com this week that Cathy DiFilippo Kiley, a payroll administrator, no longer works for the system following an “internal process.” The news comes just days after her now-deleted video went viral on social media. A March 15 post from X’s LibsofTikTok on the assassination fantasy drew over 1.4 million views and highlighted the now-fired administrator’s “karma’s a bitch” remark.

“I don’t think that this should be a health event, that’s not tragic enough,” DiFilippo Kiley said. “I think it should be an infliction, like he has done to others in the United States and around the world. From a distance. Publicly. Well, maybe he’s on stage at a rally or a press conference or whatever the case may be, something, don’t care publicly, publicly, and televised.”

“Because I think, in a situation like this, there will not be, there won’t be very many people crying. In fact, I think the majority will be cheering,” DiFilippo Kiley continued. “I know I will be cheering. So, karma is a bitch, and I think that that is how this should go down. I don’t think it should be peaceful, compassionate, quick and easy. Well, maybe quick and easy, but not in, in, in a health event way. That’s how I feel, And I’m not sorry about it.”

Trump survived an assassination attempt at his campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, in July 2024. Shooter Thomas Crooks fired multiple shots at the president from a rooftop close to the venue, hitting Trump’s ear and killing a member of the crowd. The assassination attempt was aired live during rally coverage by multiple corporate and online media outlets.

“All I can really say is that I truly feel terrible about everything. I deeply regret what I said, and I meant no harm or threat to anybody. That is not who I am, and people who know me, know that I am not a hateful or violent person,” said DiFilippo Kiley claimed in a statement to SOOToday.com about the video, which has since been deleted. “I certainly would not want to incite violence, we have enough of that in the world. I sincerely and wholeheartedly apologize to everyone that I offended or upset.”

Trump survived another assassination attempt in September 2024, when a Secret Service agent opened fire on Ryan Wesley Routh, who had been lying in wait for the then-Republican presidential candidate near a Palm Beach golf course.
