Batavia Public School District 101 honored Democratic Rep. “Sarah McBride was born on August 9th, 1990, in Wilmington, Delaware. At a young age, she became interested in politics and government. McBride eventually ran for the state senate and won, making her the first openly transgender person elected to the United States Senate,” the post said, mislabeling which elective office McBride held.

“She was also the first transgender person to address a major party convention, speaking at the 2016 Democratic National Convention. McBride was instrumental in lobbying the Delaware state legislature in 2013 to pass a law that prohibited discrimination based on gender identity,” the school district continued. “McBride went on to work as national press secretary for Human Rights Campaign, the nation’s largest LGBTQ+ civil rights organization. Today, she continues to fight for equal rights for the LGBTQ+ community, as well as writing several books!”

The district later deleted the post from its Facebook page, though screenshots are still circulating on social media.

President Donald Trump signed an executive order declaring the government recognized the “biological reality of sex” within hours of taking the oath of office Jan. 20, 2025, defining terms like male, female, man, woman, boy and girl, then signed an executive order barring federal funds from schools that allow biological men who identify as transgender women to play in women’s sports on Feb. 5, 2025.

Democratic state Rep. James Talarico of Texas, who is running for the United States Senate seat held by Republican Sen. John Cornyn, proclaimed his love for transgender children during an appearance on the May 11, 2023, episode of “A Superbloom Podcast.” Multiple online pharmacies also sell hormone replacement therapy products that are used in child sex changes.
