‘What A P*ssy!’: Adam Carolla Excoriates Eric Swalwell Over Questioning At Hearing

Comedian Adam Carolla rebuked Democratic California Rep. Eric Swalwell for his questioning of acting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Director Todd Lyons during a Thursday episode of “The Adam Carolla Show.”

During the hearing, Swalwell claimed he spoke with a female grocery store cashier who told him to ask Lyons a hypothetical question about how to discern whether someone in an unidentified van trying to capture her was ICE or a criminal. Carolla said on his show that he did not believe Swalwell’s claim and argued his questioning exemplified how he was “a pussy.”

“Swalwell is such a fucking douche … Maybe I’m an asshole. When women do this, I kind of go, ‘Alright a little theater.’ When guys do it, I go, ‘What a pussy. What a pussy!’ And for me, I would rather deal with a violent alcoholic dude than a pussy,” Carolla said. “Pussies are the worst dudes. They’re the fucking worst. And Swalwell’s a pussy. And this is a puss move right here.

Swalwell also pushed a disputed story regarding a five-year-old child who federal agents detained in an effort to guilt Lyons into resigning during the hearing. He showed an image of Liam Conejo Ramos, who became a symbol of left-wing resistance to ICE in January after his detention in Minnesota during an incident targeting his father.

“It’s a decision to stay on at this point. And considering your honorable service in the past, and the dishonorable acts that those who have worked for you have conducted, and the disgraceful statements that the leadership above you have said, you now have a decision: will you stand with the kids who you’re supposed to protect, or will you side with the killers bringing terror to our streets?” Swalwell asked. “Mr. Lyons, will you resign from ICE?”

Lyons replied that he would not, explaining, “Because, sir, that child that you’re showing right there, the men and women of ICE took care of him when his father abandoned him and ran from law enforcement.”

Carolla called Swalwell’s questioning “retarded grandstanding.”

Moreover, Democratic New Jersey Rep. LaMonica McIver asked Lyons during the hearing if he believed he would go to hell over his leadership of ICE.

“[H]ow do you think Judgment Day will work for you with so much blood on your hands?” McIver asked.
