Podcast host Joe Rogan tore into the Trump administration’s handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files, saying Thursday that the continued redactions and staggered releases make the White House “look f*cking terrible.”

The Department of Justice on Jan. 30 released more than 3 million pages of records under the Epstein Files Transparency Act. In an episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience,” Rogan asked why certain names remain blacked out in the newly disclosed materials. He pointed to references in the documents that include a foreign figure allegedly tied to a disturbing video sent to Epstein.

“How come you redact some people and you don’t redact other people? What is this? This is not good. None of this is good for this administration. It looks f*cking terrible. It looks terrible for Trump when he was saying that none of this was real. This is all a hoax,” Rogan said.

Rogan warned that the optics damage President Donald Trump, especially after Trump dismissed allegations surrounding Epstein as false.

“This is not a hoax. Did you not know? Maybe he didn’t know, if you want to be charitable, but this is definitely not a hoax,” Rogan added. “And if you got redacted people’s names, and these people aren’t victims, you’re not protecting the victim. So what are you doing? And how come all this sh*t is not released?”

The latest release of documents details Epstein’s exchanges with high-profile figures such as former Trump adviser Steve Bannon, Elon Musk, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, and several European government officials. Lawmakers and Justice Department officials said in January that the government has made public less than 1% of the records linked to Jeffrey Epstein, despite Congress passing the Epstein Files Transparency Act mandating full disclosure of all related materials.

The Trump administration missed the 30-day statutory deadline to release all federal records related to Epstein. Democratic California Rep. Ro Khanna told CNN host Kasie Hunt that lawmakers reviewing the Epstein files cannot simply “Control-F” for names but must manually review documents in a secure room using specific Bates numbers to locate materials.

Khanna said he worked alongside Republican Kentucky Rep. Thomas Massie to identify several names that had been unnecessarily redacted. Khanna credited Justice Department staff for processing the enormous volume of records, noting that career officials are working through millions of pages while balancing transparency with legal and privacy constraints.
