Piers Morgan, Candace Owens Spar Over Her Major Claim About Charlie Kirk Assassination

Podcasters Piers Morgan and Candace Owens quarreled on Wednesday over her accusations that more than one person was involved in the assassination of the late Turning Point USA (TPUSA) founder Charlie Kirk.

Owens cast doubt on “Piers Morgan Uncensored” that Tyler Robinson, the alleged assassin, acted alone in the assassination and that members of TPUSA were involved in covering up the murder. Morgan accused Owens of twisting her own words after she accused members of TPUSA of covering up details about Kirk’s assassination.

“Common sense, if this was not even a high-profile political assassination and this was just a guy who worked at a company that was worth $100 million, right? Common sense inquiry is was there a financial motive for this person to be dead, okay? This is like Sherlock Holmes 101 and this is what I mean when I say the public trust no longer trusts the media because you’re acting us to be stupid, and we don’t want to do that. We actually don’t want to pretend that we’re clinical idiots that can’t assess things and go, there could be a massive motive here to have Charlie dead. Especially when it seems very strange that [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu, when nobody even had a clue of what happened, this guy’s doing the rounds on Fox News and saying ‘I didn’t kill Charlie Kirk.'”

“Candace, I want to get to the reality of what you’re actually saying. So when you’re saying that somebody at Charlie’s company, Turning Point USA, was complicit in his murder, who? Who was?” Morgan asked.

Owens privately met with Erika Kirk on Monday. Owens said during her interview with Morgan that there is no concrete evidence that Robinson is the assassin

“I believe there were multiple people who, at Turning Point, who I’ve said many times, are engaged in a cover-up of what happened to Charlie on that day,” Owens said.

Owens said that members of TPUSA were involved in a cover-up and denied saying they were complicit in the murder.

“You specifically said, you didn’t say complicit in a cover-up, you said complicit in the murder,” Morgan said.

“Let me clarify for you, let me clarify for you, you can keep saying what I said or you can listen to what I am saying. When I was using the analogy of JFK and I was connecting it, I was basically pushing back on you because you were suggesting that all of these people being involved would be crazy,” Owens said.

Robinson was charged with one count of aggravated murder, one count of felony discharge of a firearm causing serious bodily injury, two counts of obstruction of justice for hiding the rifle and discarding his clothing, two counts of witness tampering for instructing a roommate to delete texts and one count of committing a violent offense in front of children.

“The Charlie Kirk Show” producer Blake Neff previously disputed Owens’ claims about TPUSA and added that her allegations led to harassment.
