President Donald Trump snapped at a Bloomberg reporter on Sunday who interrupted his answer about Daily Caller News Foundation co-founder Tucker Carlson’s interview with Nick Fuentes.

Trump defended Carlson’s decision to interview Fuentes on “The Tucker Carlson Show” and stated that the DCNF co-founder can talk to whoever he wants. The president did not mince words with the reporter as she chimed in on his answer.

“We’ve had some good interviews. I did an interview with [Carlson]. We had 300 million hits. You know that. Look, I can’t tell him. Well, you let me finish my thing. You are the worst. You’re with Bloomberg, right?” Trump told the reporter. “You are the worst. I don’t know why they even have you.”

Tensions flared on the right after Carlson posted his interview with Fuentes on Oct. 27, where they discussed identity politics, the conservative establishment and Fuentes’ dinner with Trump and Ye at Mar-a-Lago. Trump said that he did not know that Ye was bringing Fuentes to Mar-a-Lago in November 2022. Trump also said on Sunday that he did not know much about Fuentes.

Carlson told Sirius XM’s Megyn Kelly that he decided to interview Fuentes after learning that he is the single most influential commentator among young men, and that he wanted to understand why.

“Then I got all these calls from people saying, ‘do you know anything about Nick Fuentes.’ I don’t really know anything about Nick Fuentes except that he’s attacking my dad, my wife and my son. And it was like, actually, Nick Fuentes is the single most influential commentator among young men … And then it turns out that he has no advertisers, they’ve been trying to cancel him since freshman year of college. Ben Shapiro actually tried to shut him down in college. And it didn’t work. In fact, it had the opposite effect. So then I talked to a million people I know, like ‘maybe I should interview Nick Fuentes, like what is this, actually? So then I decided to do it,” Carlson continued.

Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts came under fire after he defended Carlson’s interview with Fuentes. One board member, Robert P. George, resigned on Monday over Robert’s defense and the National Task Force to Combat Antisemitism wrote on Thursday that they severed their ties with the organization.

Fuentes has cast doubt on the Holocaust, expressed admiration for former Soviet Union dictator Joseph Stalin and has made several remarks that have upset Jewish people, women and racial minorities. He has over 1 million followers on X and draws hundreds of thousands of viewers on several platforms such as Rumble.
