President Donald Trump threatened Hamas that “we” would “go in and kill them” if the terrorist group did not stop killing Gazans, the president wrote Thursday on Truth Social.

Trump did not specify if his post would imply that U.S. forces would be involved in any operations against Hamas with Israel. Currently, 200 US troops are stationed in the area to oversee the ceasefires’ implementation.

Hamas has reportedly begun executing rivals and civilians  in the strip after the ceasefire’s implementation, potentially imperiling future peace. So far, Hamas has returned all living hostages but has been slower in returning bodies of deceased captives.

Trump threatened Hamas Tuesday that the group must disarm and relinquish power over the Gaza strip as enumerated in the full ceasefire proposal. However, The group has been ambivalent on accepting multiple parts of the proposal, initially saying in their initial agreement Oct. 3 that negotiations about power and disarmament would need “Palestinian national consensus and Arab and Islamic support.”

The proposal allows Israel to resume offensive operations against Hamas if they did not abide by the proposal.

The White House did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.
