Fox News host Harris Faulkner and a “Power Panel” on “The Faulkner Focus” Wednesday criticized Democratic Gov. Tim Walz of Minnesota for expressing hope that President Donald Trump would die.
Walz made the comments during a Labor Day event on Monday, telling supporters that the day would come when they might see the notification that Trump died. Faulkner and guests Angie Wong and former Democratic Rep. Pat Murphy of Pennsylvania expressed disgust at Walz’s comments.
“This is the sickest thing. Not to mention the fact how much access all of us as journalists and the public have had to this particular president. Why float a theory like this?” Faulkner asked Wong.
“Even when he stepped out to play golf, he is still dead, right?” Wong responded. “So, no, Trump takes off for a couple of days at Labor Day weekend and, you know, the left spews death conspiracies about him. When Biden takes out for months out of the media, nothing happens. The media covers up for him. So, all of this is a big double standard. Remember, Trump just did a 3.5-hour cabinet meeting last Tuesday. He is alive and well, everyone. Don’t freak out.”

Trump gave an exclusive interview to Daily Caller White House correspondent Reagan Reese Friday as the rumors from left-leaning accounts on X about Trump dying spread.
“Not to mention the fact there have been two assassination attempts on his life, and you mentioned a golf course. One of them was at a golf course. I mean, this is frightening to float something like that,” Faulkner said, turning to Murphy. “I see you nodding in agreement. This is bad for politics across the board.”
“Absolutely, Harris, it is un-American. He is the president of the United States. I disagree with a lot of his policies and didn’t vote for him, but he’s still the president of the United States, he is our president, the president of the United States,” Murphy said. “Anyone that cheers for his demise is un-American… come on. You talk about Butler, Pennsylvania, a year ago, I was with Selena Zito, she has a new book called Butler, she talks about she was there, feet away from him and Senator Dave McCormick and thank God he is okay about that during the middle of the presidential campaign. If you are on the far left and criticize or hoping for his demise, you gotta check yourself before you wreck yourself.”
Faulkner asked Murphy if he would personally call Walz before playing Walz’s comments.
“Referring to these horrible rumors, false, false, false, false, yet he says well maybe it could happen, the death of this president,” Faulkner said, with Wong adding, “I mean, this borderlines on political speech. I don’t know what he is going for, more Trump is bad, orange man is bad. That’s all they’ve got. The left. They can’t talk about policies or doing anything right. They can’t talk about winning elections. All they have is calling for Trump’s demise. It is horrible.”
“It is interesting you say borderlines on political speech,” Faulkner responded. “I think it borderlines on incitement. That’s the problem with it.”
