‘Absolutely Hilarious’: MTG Cracks Up At Jasmine Crockett’s Infamous ‘Butch Body’ Attack

Republican Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene on Tuesday laughed off Democrat Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett’s infamous “butch body” attack line against her.

Crockett attacked Greene’s so-called “beach blonde, bad built, butch body” during a House Oversight Committee hearing from May 17, 2024, that devolved into complete chaos. Greene recounted the events from that hearing with a chuckle on Sirius XM’s “The Megyn Kelly Show,” calling Crockett’s insult “nasty” and “absolutely hilarious.”

“[Crockett was] running off her mouth and I shot at her about her massively huge fake eyelashes. And I said something along the lines of ‘well you can’t read it because of your fake eyelashes.’ Because she had all the information in front of her … And oh my gosh, total explosion,” Greene began.

Kelly then pointed out that Crockett was “nasty” to Greene during that explosive hearing, causing Greene to laugh.

“It’s nasty. Which I thought was absolutely hilarious. You know, I’m over 50, I workout … And somehow Democrats, you know, they’re supposed to love all women and never body shame and stuff,” Greene continued. “She’s not a real person.”

Kelly added that Crockett’s insult was “below the belt.”

The infamous spat began when Greene asked if any Democrats on the Oversight Committee were employing the daughter of Judge Juan Merchan, who oversaw Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s case against then-Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. After Crockett accused Greene of not knowing what they were at the hearing for, Greene made a snarky remark about her fake eyelashes.

“I think your fake eyelashes are messing up what you’re reading,” Greene told Crockett.

Crockett and Democrat New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez then erupted at Greene, causing a chaotic shouting match. Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer then called for a point of order and allowed Greene to reclaim her time, though the feud continued as Crockett interrupted and uttered her infamous line.

“I’m just curious to better understand your ruling. If someone on this committee then starts talking about somebody’s beach blonde, bad built, butch body that would not be engaging in personalities, correct?” Crockett asked.

“I’m sorry, a what now?” Comer responded.

A raging Crockett continued disrupting the hearing as another Republican representative told her to “calm down.”

Crockett then sold merch with the phrase in her collection called the “Crockett Clapback Reaction,” with revenue going toward her campaign efforts.

Greene further confirmed to Kelly that Crockett treats her staff terribly and forces her male staffer to carry her “big, heavy handbag” for her. Reports have alleged that Crockett “terrorizes” her staff, forces them to rent a luxury vehicle to escort her to her office and screams at them for unknown reasons.
