Hunter Biden said on “Channel 5 with Andrew Callaghan” Thursday that he would not apologize after claiming deceased pedophile Jeffrey Epstein “introduced” first lady Melania Trump to President Donald Trump in a prior interview with journalist Andrew Callaghan.
The first lady’s attorney Alejandro Brito sent a letter on Aug. 6 threatening to “fil[e] legal action for over $1 Billion Dollars in damages” against Biden for “false, defamatory, disparaging, and inflammatory statements” if he did not promptly delete the content and apologize, Fox News reported. Hunter said on the YouTube show that an apology from him was “not going to happen.”

“Fuck that,” he said.
Biden asserted the claim he made was based on what he had read from journalists and authors, particularly Michael Wolff. He said the letter from the first lady’s attorney was merely a “distraction” from the children Epstein abused.
“I also think they’re bullies,” he added. “And they think that a billion dollars is going to scare me … I have this to say to them: if they want to sit down for a deposition and clarify the nature of the relationship between Jeffrey Epstein, if the president and the first lady want to do that, and all of the known associates around them at the time of whatever time that they met — I’m more than happy to provide them the platform to be able to do it.”
Biden’s response differs from other recipients of letters from the first lady’s attorney over similar claims.
For instance, Democratic strategist James Carville announced on an Aug. 7 episode of his podcast, “Politics War Room,” that his team had deleted a video referencing alleged ties between Epstein, the president and the first lady following a letter. In addition to the deletion, Carville retracted and apologized for his statements.
Moreover, The Daily Beast retracted a July 30 story alleging the first lady was “very involved” with Epstein following a letter from the first lady’s attorney to challenge “the headline and framing of the article,” according to an editor’s note.
Brito did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.
