Charlamagne Says CNN, Jake Tapper ‘Complicit’ In Biden Cover-Up

Radio host Charlamagne Tha God accused CNN and anchor Jake Tapper on Tuesday of participating in the cover-up of President Joe Biden’s health decline.

Tapper has received backlash for writing a book on the topic of Biden’s decline and its cover-up, despite not diligently reporting on it prior to his calamitous June 2024 debate against President Donald Trump. Charlamagne, on “The Breakfast Club,” said he was curious to see if Tapper held himself and CNN “accountable” for not reporting on Biden’s decline in his book.

“I’m interested in the Biden stuff because Jake Tapper’s book, ‘Original Sin,’ comes out today, which I’m looking forward to reading,” Charlamagne said. “This book talks about his inner circle and how his inner circle kept his mental decline and health diagnosis from others. So, I think they announced President Biden’s prostate diagnosis to get in front of that book and whatever may be in that book.”

Biden’s personal office announced Sunday that he had received a severe prostate cancer diagnosis on Friday.

“And I’m looking forward to reading it because I want to see if people like Jake Tapper hold themselves and their networks, like CNN, accountable for how much they didn’t report on because they’re all complicit in not calling a thing a thing in regards to President Biden,” Charlamagne added.

Penguin Press, the publisher of “Original Sin,” posted a promotional video on May 5 featuring clips portraying Tapper asking pressing questions regarding Biden’s age. However, political analyst Mark Halperin, on “Next Up with Mark Halperin,” played longer versions of the segments featured in the promotion clip to refute that Tapper dug into the story.

Tapper on “CNN News Central” on May 13 blamed the White House and Democrats for blatantly lying to the American people about Biden’s health until the 2024 election had ended.

“[The] bottom line is, the White House was lying, not only to the press, not only to the public, but they were lying to their own cabinet, they were lying to White House staffers, they were lying to Democratic members of Congress, to donors about how bad things have gotten,” Tapper said.

The following day, he acknowledged on the same show that he did not report on Biden’s decline sufficiently and that he reflected on his reporting “with humility,” according to Mediaite.
