Popular podcast host Joe Rogan said Wednesday that Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. joining forces with President Donald Trump made him “most excited” about the Trump administration.
Rogan endorsed Trump on Nov. 4, just one day before the election and several months after Kennedy gave his backing to the president in August. On “The Joe Rogan Experience,” Rogan said he believed that if Kennedy joined a Trump administration, it could lead to meaningful and permanent reforms for the American people, including health transparency.
“The thing that I was most excited about was Bobby Kennedy. When Bobby Kennedy united with Trump, I was like, ‘Okay, I’m in.’ Because, like, if he can get in there, you can see real change that’s going to affect the way our lives are forever. That’s going to change things,” Rogan said. “It’s going to give people a real understanding of what’s going on behind the scenes — why you’ve been lied to, why all these drugs are everywhere, why you’re seeing poor health outcomes, why we’re the richest nation in the world but also the sickest.”
The podcast host added that he believed the Trump administration would bring transparency “across the board,” particularly referencing education.
“With education, we’re the richest nation in the world. We have terrible education scores,” he said. “Like, why? Why, since we developed the Department of Education, have our scores plummeted? Like, what is that?”
Rogan endorsed Trump on X following the release of his interview with Elon Musk on Nov. 4.
“If it wasn’t for him we’d be fucked. He makes what I think is the most compelling case for Trump you’ll hear, and I agree with him every step of the way,” the podcast host wrote at the time. “For the record, yes, that’s an endorsement of Trump. Enjoy the podcast.”
In August, there were reports that Rogan had endorsed Kennedy during a podcast episode where he praised the then-independent presidential candidate, according to Deadline. However, Rogan subsequently took to X to assert that his remarks were not an endorsement, but merely praise of Kennedy, including how he “discusses things with civility and intelligence.”
“I think we could use more of that in this world,” he wrote at the time. “I also think Trump raising his fist and saying ‘fight!’ after getting shot is one of the most American fucking things of all time.”
Rogan asked Trump during their viral Oct. 25 podcast whether anyone had urged him not to collaborate with Kennedy. Trump responded that “Big Pharma wasn’t thrilled” that the two teamed up.
Trump and Kennedy vowed during the campaign to tackle public health issues together. Trump pledged to address various Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) issues Kennedy had brought to the forefront, such as improving Americans’ intake of nutritious foods and mitigating the rising trend of adult obesity.
