Radio host Charlamagne Tha God on Friday implied that Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz may not be pulling his weight on Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential ticket.
The Harris-Walz campaign is currently on a Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) homecoming tour, according to Essence. Charlamagne, on “The Breakfast Club,” suggested Walz should sit out the tour and focus on mobilizing white voters, but he expressed skepticism that Walz is effectively generating enthusiasm among that demographic.

Charlamagne attempted to quote the lyrics to the song “Takeover,” where Jay-Z rapped, “Had a spark when you started, but now you’re just garbage,” to describe Walz before elaborating.
“I don’t think he’s garbage, you know what I’m saying? But it’s just like, I don’t see the impact,” the radio host said.
Co-host Loren LoRosa chimed in to say Walz is “chillin’.”
“We don’t need that now. We don’t need you chillin’, Walz,” Charlamagne retorted. “Okay, we need you on the front lines, okay? You need a white man that excites other white people. I don’t know if he’s that white person that’s doing that, is he?”
Charlamagne’s co-hosts responded in the negative.
“Oh, okay,” the radio host said.
When Harris first tapped Walz to be her running mate in August, some in the media suggested he resembles an “uncle” or “dad.” However, Charlamagne told black Americans not to be smitten by the governor, saying he isn’t their “uncle,” “coach” or “fun dad. ”
“Black people, you do not have to fall in love with these politicians. It is just crazy to me how black people are so quick to jump on white political penis. It’s unbelievable,” Charlamagne said. “Y’all don’t have to create little cute nicknames for Tim Walz, okay? Y’all don’t have to have your little slogans ‘from the window to the Walz.’ You don’t have to do that.”
Walz has a far-left record in his state on issues, such as immigration, gender and religion. Former President Donald Trump and others have nicknamed the governor “Tampon Tim” in light of the bill he signed to mandate tampons in school bathrooms for students in fourth grade through twelfth grade, without specifying gender.
