Republican strategist Scott Jennings reacted vehemently during a Tuesday night CNN panel after a fellow panelist claimed that the campaign of Vice President Kamala Harris was “organic.”

Harris accepted the Democratic nomination to replace President Joe Biden Thursday, a little more than a month after Biden announced he was ending his reelection bid. Jennings was aghast when CNN contributor Bakari Sellers, a former Democratic nominee for lieutenant governor in South Carolina, praised the vice president’s campaign.

“It’s organic. The entire Kamala Harris campaign has been organic,” Sellers claimed.

“What?! Organic?!” Jennings erupted. “This is the literal most manufactured presidential campaign ever. She didn’t even run! It’s the opposite of organic.”

Harris currently holds a 1.7% lead over former President Donald Trump in a national head-to-head matchup, according to the RealClearPolling average of polls from Aug. 5 to 28, with the margin holding at 1.7% when Green Party candidate Dr. Jill Stein and independent candidates Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Cornel West are included in surveys.

“Can I ask you one question? You’ve been a part of a lot of campaigns, right? A ton of campaigns,” Sellers responded. “How many campaigns in your manufacturing have you been able to manufacture 400,000 volunteers or $540 million? Or how about this, 4% of the electorate, 4% of the entire electorate in the state of Georgia has volunteered for Kamala Harris.”

“If you believe that, I’ve got properties I’ll sell you,” Jennings shot back.

Kennedy suspended his presidential bid Friday, announcing his endorsement of Trump and appearing with the former president at an Arizona rally.
