Speakers on the third night of the Democratic National Convention focused on women leading up to Sen. Kamala Harris’ acceptance speech for the 2020 Democratic vice presidential nomination, and criticized President Donald Trump’s leadership.

Former President Barack Obama said in his message to the DNC Wednesday that Trump has shown “no interest in putting in the work,” finding common ground, or “using the awesome power of his office to help anyone but himself and his friends.”

“No interest in treating the presidency as anything but one more reality show that he can use to get the attention he craves,” Obama said.

Former Secretary of State and 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton reflected on the “morning after” the 2016 election and Trump’s inheritance from the Obama Administration.

“I wish Donald Trump knew how to be a president because America needs a president right now,” Clinton said.

An edited video montage showed Trump referring to MS-13 gang members “animals,” but spliced in between videos of asylum seekers and children held in detention centers, making it appear he was speaking about immigrants.

Democratic California Rep. Nancy Pelosi spoke over her introduction before reflecting on the Obama administration and criticizing Trump and Republican Kentucky Sen. Mitch McConnell for working against the House Democrat’s “guiding purpose” of “fighting for the people.”

Democratic Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren said Trump and Republicans are responsible for America reporting the “most COVID deaths in the world and an economic collapse.”

Singer Billie Eilish prefaced her performance of her new single “my future” urging viewers to vote against Trump and for presumptive nominee and former Vice President Joe Biden. “Silence is not an option, we can not sit this one out. We all have to vote like our lives and the world depend on it,” she said.

Harris closed out the night saying “we must elect Joe Biden … years from now this moment will have passed and our children and our grandchildren will look in our eyes and they’re gonna ask us: where were you when the stakes were so high?”

“We will tell them what we did,” Harris said.
