Video footage shows 2020 presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg saying in 2014 that the founding fathers “did not understand that slavery was a bad thing.”
“It’s an embarrassing thing to admit,” the South Bend, Indiana, mayor said, “but the people who wrote the Constitution did not understand that slavery was a bad thing.”
