A Hofstra University fraternity was suspended after a video showed members allegedly forcing a dog to drink beer from a keg.
The 5-second video, posted on Twitter Saturday, shows one man holding the dog over the keg and another man squirting what appears to be beer into the animal’s mouth.

Alpha Epsilon Pi (AEPi) Headquarters placed the New York college chapter on “cease and desist” because of suspected violations of the fraternity’s health and safety codes.
“We hope this can be a a teaching moment to help build better young men who are committed to our our mission and values,” AEPi said in a tweet Sunday.

A Hofstra statement, given to The Daily Caller News Foundation over email Monday, said the incident occurred off-campus.
“In accordance with University policy, the chapter has been placed on interim suspension pending an investigation,” the statement said. “In addition, any individual students identified in the video will also be subject to the University’s Code of Community Standards.”
