YouTube, one of the world’s most popular websites, went down Tuesday night for reasons not yet known.

“Thanks for your reports about YouTube, YouTube TV and YouTube Music access issues,” Team YouTube wrote on TwitterTuesday night. “We’re working on resolving this and will let you know once fixed. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and will keep you updated.”

The video site is not loading for many users. Some visitors find a “500 Internal Server Error” notice, while others see “an empty template with grey boxes where video links should be,” reported the Vancouver Sun.

YouTube had not issued an official statement on the cause of the technical difficulties as of Tuesday evening.

Users were reporting the site was down as early at 9:17 p.m. EST, reported Heavy.com
