Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein of California invited actress and left-wing activist Alyssa Milano to attend Thursday’s Senate Judiciary Committee hearing where Judge Brett Kavanaugh and Christine Blasey Ford, the woman accusing him of sexual misconduct, are scheduled to testify.

“Alyssa Milano gaggles with reporters,” tweeted Seung Min Kim, The Washington Post’s White House reporter. “She said she is here as an invited guest of [Sen. Feinstein].”

Milano has been a vocal opponent of President Donald Trump and is heavily involved in progressive activism since the 2016 election. The Hollywood actress has protested Kavanaugh multiple times since he was nominated in July, including dressing as a handmaid from “The Handmaid’s Tale” and participating in solidarity with survivors walk out.

“I believe Christine Blasey Ford,” Milano tweeted  on Saturday.

Feinstein, the committee’s ranking Democrat, was made aware of Ford’s accusations in July, weeks before the Senate Judiciary Committee convened for Kavanaugh’s hearing. She notably withheld information from her Senate colleagues until before the committee was scheduled to vote on Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court.
