A Colorado man who has been charged with murdering his wife and two daughters, stuffed the girls’ bodies into oil tanks to conceal the smell of the cadavers, authorities reported Thursday.
Authorities found the dead bodies of 4-year-old Bella and 3-year-old Celeste Watts in large oil and gas tanks, according to a number of high-ranking sources, ABC13 reported Friday. Their father, 33-year-old Christopher Watts, was arrested late Wednesday in Frederick, Colorado after police began to suspect that he was responsible for his family’s disappearance.
Chris Watts’ wife and two daughters — Shannann, Bella and Celeste — disappeared Monday after he alleged that they’d left for a friend’s house.
“I have no inclination of where she is,” Watts told Denver7. “She said she was going to a friend’s house with the kids and that’s the last thing I heard and that was it. It was very vague.”
“I just want them back. I just want them to come back,” he added.

Authorities found Shanann’s body on Anadarko Petroleum property. Bella and Celeste’s bodies were found close by. Chris Watts worked at Anadarko Petroleum, one of Colorado’s largest oil and gas drillers, in 2015.
Watts’ 34-year-old wife Shanann was 15 weeks pregnant at the time of her death.
“It’s a senseless murder, and [his wife] was looking forward to that third child. Because she was pregnant with a boy,” neighbor Joe Beach told ABC13.
Watts has reportedly admitted to all three murders, according to Fox News.
Weld County Jail is holding Watts on three counts of first-degree murder and tampering with physical evidence.
