CNN host Don Lemon said a tape of President Donald Trump using the N-word “wouldn’t change anything” for him politically Tuesday on “CNN Tonight.”

Lemon played several clips of Trump at rallies and speeches, stopping to dissect each one for racism and bigotry.

“What if I told you that I have a tape of Donald Trump calling Mexicans criminals and rapists?” Lemon asked. “What if I told you that I have a secretly recorded tape of him bragging about sexually assaulting women? What if I told you I have a tape of him mocking a disabled person?”

“And what if I told you I have a tape of him calling African-America athletes, and I’m quoting here, ‘Sons of bitches,'” Lemon continued. “What if I told you I had a tape of him encouraging violence by his supporters? And what if I told you I had a tape of him calling white supremacists who killed a young woman in Charlottesville, very fine people?”

Lemon claimed people have become desensitized to these types of sensational statements and said Trump seems to be “immune” from any standard of decency or public decorum.

“I wish I could say that it would make a difference, if on top of all of that, there ever did turn out to be a tape of the president using the N-word,” Lemon concluded.

“Maybe the truth would be very different. Maybe it wouldn’t change anything. Why would that tape be the bridge too far? We already know that this president seems immune from even the broadest standards of decency we’ve had in common in the past. Another tape wouldn’t change anything. Think about it. Am I wrong?”
