A former acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Thomas Homan, said he is going to keep fighting for common sense immigration laws, on “Fox & Friends” Friday, and promised he would never “shut up.”

“America used to respect the president. I’m here today and I’m not going to shut up on these issues. I’m going to keep fighting this fight,” Homan said. “Again, I’m not working for the president anymore. But as an American, as somebody that has enforced immigration law for 34 years, I’m concerned.”

“I’m concerned about the future of this country. And that’s why I’m out here being voyeur vocal. And I’ll tell you what, I’m hoping the American people are paying attention to what’s going on,” he added.

Homan said far left activists want open borders and are constantly attacking the president as they seek to abolish America’s immigration authorities.

“The far left wants open borders. The far left wants to abolish ICE,” he declared. “The far left wants to attack the president and his family. They never let the president be a president for a week without attacking him and his family. Think about where we come as a society and it’s scary to me as somebody who loves my country and I respect the president.”

Homan said it’s normal to disagree with the president, but claimed the White House knows what it’s talking about when it comes to border security and illegal immigration.

“You can like or not like this president, but don’t say he’s inaccurate on this. He has taken a personal part in this like I said, I’ve flown to New York with him twice. I’ve had numerous meetings. He is taking this seriously,” Homan said. “Name another president who has taken this issue so seriously — another president who understands this issue so clearly.”

“We got to wake up. And I hope, again, November is coming. I hope the American people are paying attention what’s happening,” he concluded.
