Democrats have consistently accused President Donald Trump of being a racist for his attacks on minorities, however, those accusers have overlooked Trump’s harsh criticism of white individuals in order to prove their point.
The racist accusations came to life again after Trump belittled basketball star LeBron James on Twitter by calling him dumb on Aug. 3.
Democratic Sen. Bob Menendez of New Jersey took umbrage with the tweet, attributing Trump’s comment to be racially motivated.
“Let’s just say it – if LeBron James was white, President Trump never would have questioned his intelligence or his charity work,” Menendez tweeted Monday.
Let’s just say it – if LeBron James was white, President Trump never would have questioned his intelligence or his charity work. How do I know? Let’s check the history…

“How do I know? Let’s check the history…,” Menendez continued. He went on to list various occurrences of Trump’s alleged racism, which included instances of the president’s criticism of politicians like former President Barack Obama or Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters of California. But Menendez, like others, ignore Trump’s extensive history of criticizing people he disagrees with, regardless of one’s race.
Jeryl Bier of The Weekly Standard compiled a list of white individuals who Trump has gone after.
4/ More people Trump has called dumb:
Stuart Stevens
Glenn Beck
Joe McQuaid
Rick Wilson
Chris Stirewalt
Marc Thiessen [who Trump called “Marc Threaten”
Tim O’Brien
Jonah Goldberg
Chuck Hagel
Rosie O’Donnell
Gail Collins
McKay Coppins
Ben Smith— Jeryl Bier (@JerylBier) August 6, 2018
The non-exhaustive list contains over 20 white individuals who the president has chastised. But Democrats continue to accuse Trump of only referring to minorities as “low IQ” or “dumb.”
