Left-wing activists gathered Saturday for the March On NRA rally to protest the National Rifle Association and its involvement in protecting the Second Amendment.
Protesters convened in front of the NRA headquarters in Fairfax, Virginia, where they chanted, held signs, distributed sunflowers and ice cream and participated in various art demonstrations.
Multiple groups were represented, such as Moms Demand Action For Gun Sense and Everytown For Gun Safety, Gays Against Guns and the Women’s March, as well as student representatives from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, where 17 people were killed in February.
The Daily Caller News Foundation spent five hours at the protest asking activists why they were protesting, what they wanted to see happen to the NRA and what legislation they wanted to see passed to end gun violence.
