Dan Bongino Calls For New Leadership In Chicago As Violence Gets Worse

Political commentator Dan Bongino said it might be time for new leadership in Chicago on “Fox & Friends” Monday and told the city it deserves better representation.

Bongino mentioned a 17-year-old girl, Jahnae Patterson, who was shot in the face and killed Sunday, and said the people of Chicago might have finally reached a political tipping point.

“This is our country. These are American citizens too. They deserve better than this,” Bongino said. “That poor woman will never take another breath of oxygen again. Her life is over at 17. All of the pleasures and wonders of life, she will never experience.”

Bongino said now is not the appropriate time to have a political debate, but suggested a change in leadership might help Chicago bounce back and restore order within the city.

“I’m not going to make a cheap political argument about this,” he continued. “This is not the time for that. But I’ll say this — maybe it’s time for new leadership and new people.”

“I’m not suggesting that Democrats or the Republicans have all the answers here,” Bongino concluded. “But maybe it’s time for new people. You deserve better. You are American citizens, too. It’s your country.”
