Orrin Hatch Responds To Being Dead

Utah Republican Sen. Orrin Hatch responded to a Google profile that listed the senator’s date of death as September 11, 2017.
Hatch tweeted out “Hi.. @Google? We might need to talk.”

He then followed up the tweet with multiple photographs showing the senator participating in routine activities such as reading the newspaper, signing a bill, preparing for an interview, giving German Chancellor Angela Merkel a gift and visiting the World War II Memorial.
The Utah senator also posted a picture of him celebrating his bacon-themed 84th birthday in March, almost a year after his supposed death.

Hatch also touted his ability to advance three bills during the time he was pronounced dead. In jest, he wrote “Even in death, Hatch remains one of the Senate’s most prolific legislators.” (RELATED: Hatch Announces His Retirement After Four Decades In The Senate)

Hatch announced his retirement from congress in January 2018. After serving in the Senate for four decades, he became the longest serving Republican senator in history.
“After much prayer and discussion with family and friends, I have decided to retire at the end of this term,” Hatch announced. “I’m deeply grateful for the privilege you’ve given me to serve as your senator for these last four decades.”
Google corrected the death date error. It currently shows the senator as 84-years-old and alive.
