Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez isn’t done disrupting the Democratic establishment.

The 28-year-old socialist stunned party leaders when she upset a top Democrat, New York Rep. Joe Crowley, in the June 27 primary. Now, she wants to help other far left candidates imitate her success.

Ocasio-Cortez, whose far-left district makes her a virtual lock in November’s general election, is working to boost eight other Democratic congressional candidates around the country, her campaign said in a release. Three of those candidates — Cori Bush, Ayanna Presley and Kerri Harris — are mounting primary challenges to incumbent Democrats.

Harris is hoping to oust Democratic Delaware Sen. Tom Carper and has the backingof progressive activists, in addition to Ocasio-Cortez’s support.

Bush is challenging Democratic Missouri Rep. Lacy Clay, a seven-term congressman, while Presley is hoping to beat Massachusetts Rep. Michael Capuano.

While Democratic National Committee (DNC) chair Tom Perez has said that Ocasio-Cortez represents the “future of our party,” veteran Democrats have already grown frustratedwith the 28-year-old’s attacks on the party establishment.
